Brothers members of the Knights of Columbus, Bishop Robert Clune from Maple, were at Haven Toronto, an organization dedicated to serving elder homeless men over 50, at 170 Jarvis Street in downtown Toronto, feeding these needy men, on Saturday 19, 2020.
Maple Council # 11535 is happy to sponsor the project Foods for SAM (Save Another Mind).
Haven Toronto, formerly known as The Good Neighbours’ Club, was founded in 1933 during the Great Depression to help unemployed men.
Haven Toronto provides onsite access to crisis and housing counsellors, on-site nurses, dental hygienists and barbers, it also provides healthy meals 3 times daily at 8am, noon and 3pm, clothing, showers, laundry, recreational amenities and more.
The Knights of Columbus are always ready to give a helping hand to this and other charitable initiatives.
